Course Description

Tissue Viability - Level 2 ABC Award

Our Tissue Viability programme will provide learners with an insight into a range of topics involved in this field. It can be said that any individual that developed a pressure ulcer is in a potentially life threatening situation. Prevention of pressure ulcers is better than cure. This course begins by recognising individuals who are at risk of developing an ulcer. It is then vital to take the necessary actions to avert skin breakdown.

Once it has been identified that an individual has a pressure ulcer. The next step is to treat the ulcer to prevent it from worsening. Students will gain an insight into the risks involved and how to intervene.

This course has been designed and created for individuals who will find it of benefit to learn about how to complete risk assessments, with regards to skin breakdown and pressure area care. Learners will investigate the processes that could take place across a range of health and social care environments for example hospitals, nursing, residential homes, and hospices.

Students will also gain an in depth knowledge of risk assessments and the different tools needed to suit the client and setting. The assessment can be completed by a range of staff members working in a care capacity. This assessment is an ongoing process that needs to be reviewed and updated on a regular basis.

When purchasing your course, we strive to provide you with the best possible deal available. The cost of the course will cover registration fee, certification fee, and also tutor support.
