Course Description

Supporting Activity Provision in Social Care - Level 2 QCF

Our Supporting Activity Provision in Social Care QCF programme will provide students with an in depth understanding of the activities for individuals who are living in care and have a positive impact on their self-esteem. 

This programme will assist staff who work or would like to work in a social care setting. It will provide learners with a better understanding of how simple activities can have an effect on our mental health.

Students will investigate the relationship between the involvement of everyday activities and an individuals’ well-being. Students will be supported and guided through the assessment process, and also the evaluation of activities. 

You will also enhance your skills which are needed to offer a person-centred service. This course is highly beneficial to staff who work in a range of care settings; this can include residential and also respite care. You will also have the opportunity to develop your understanding of activity provision.

Not only this, students will be provided with the necessary knowledge needed to review and deliver a range of activities, and also the impact and affect it will have on the individuals they care for.

  • ACT202: Understand the benefit of engaging in activities in social care

  • ACT204:  Understand the delivery of activity in social care

  • ACT208: Understand the Benefits of Reminiscence as an Activity 

  • ACT206: Therapeutic Approaches for Activity Provision in Social Care

  • HSC2023: Contribute to supporting group care activities

  • DEM201: Dementia Awareness

  • LD201: Understand the context of supporting individuals with learning disabilities

 

No Previous Knowledge Required

There is no prior learning knowledge required to enrol on to this programme. This makes our Supporting Activity Provision in Social Care easily accessible to anyone who would like to learn more about this subject area. 

 

12 Months Tutor Support

Students will receive a study guide and course manual. Learners will be designated a tutor who will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, throughout the duration of the programme (via mail or email). Assessment
