Course Description

Criminalistics Diploma - Level 3 NCFE

Our Criminalistics Diploma Level 3 will provide students with an understanding of the forensic science of analysing and interpreting evidence. Criminalists are responsible for examining and highlighting physical evidence to reconstruct the scene of a crime.

Criminalists will investigate and examine hair, bodily fluids, fibre, drugs, alcohol, botanicals and also glass. They will also have the ability to restore markings (both smeared and smudged), as well as highlight firearms and investigate bullets and footprint impressions. Students will learn how to identify and make connections between victims and suspects.

It is not possible for one individual to become proficient and skilled in the examination of all categories of physical evidence. Workers in forensic science laboratories focus on the examination of one or several kinds of physical evidence. Forensic biologists are responsible for analysing and examining the biological or genetic properties of evidence, they trace evidence and also highlight materials that have been transported between objects, which will enable the scientist to identify the origin of the item.

Learners will be guided through the materials which will examine firearms and ammunition components, and also the marks left. A module related to psychological evidence has been covered in this course, because forensic psychology is dependent on the output of criminalistics. Each unit will provide learners with the details of the expectations of how your work will be assessed. It is vital that learners make reference to this guidance as they continue through the units.

The last module will provide learners with the necessary materials to pass the course. We will also provide you with further reading, which will allow you to develop your research and enable the student to evidence independent enquiry, which will enable you to acquire a more creditable pass.

When purchasing your course, we strive to provide you with the best possible deal available. The cost of the course covers the registration fee, certification fee, and also tutor support.
