Course Description

Government and Politics Diploma - Level 3

Our Government and Politics course has been designed and created to allow students to develop their ability to analyse information, as well as to communicate complex arguments in the most effective manner. Students will need to have a keen interest in this subject area and you should prepare yourself  by becoming familiar with knowledge in contemporary issues, developments, and also debates. Such understanding will give you an advantage when you are studying this programme.

Students are required to have more than just knowledge of current affairs. You will need to grasp a lot more information whilst completing this programme. We recommend that students complete wider reading, which will enable the learner to gain a greater understanding of this subject. To achieve a higher grade, students will be required to read a range of resources for example quality newspapers, or watch current affairs programmes on the TV and radio.

The content in each of the modules included in this course, will have references to the textbook and also web pages, which will provide learners with further reading and research. The key words in the course content will be highlighted and explained. Each module will require students to undertake a range of exercises and questions in which will measure and monitor the learning taken place. The modules have been divided into topic areas, in which will look at a different aspect of Government and Politics. Your tutor will advise you on the amount of time you should spend studying on each topic area. It is important that you study the modules in the sequence they are presented.

The course learning materials can be studied online, or students have the option to have the materials delivered in print. This will incur an additional fee.
