Course Description

Support Work in Schools QCF

The Support Work in Schools QCF course will equip learners with a good standard of knowledge and understanding in which will enable you to effectively fulfil this job role. 

This is the ideal programme for individuals who currently work, or would like to work in the position of a support worker in an educational setting (including primary, middle and secondary). This course will provide students with a greater knowledge and understanding with regards to fulfilling this role in the most effective and efficient manner. 

It is important that you think about how your theory will fit in with your practical experience. This course will assist learners in developing their understanding throughout their studies, and will enable you to develop a solid foundation of knowledge. This course has been benchmarked at Level 2. Upon successful completion of this programme learners will receive a certificate of achievement. 

Students will be required to study a series of modules, all of which will help you to develop the necessary skills set needed to work in the role of a support worker.

This is a suitable course for learners who prefer to study in the comfort of their own home, at a pace and convenience to you. This means you can study around your busy lifestyles and personal commitments. 

Previous Knowledge Required

There is no previous learning knowledge or experience needed to enrol on to this programme. This makes our Support Work in Schools QCF course easily accessible to anyone who would like to learn more about this subject area.

Support

Learners can expect to receive all the necessary learning materials needed to successfully complete the programme. Students will be assigned a personal tutor who will be on hand to answer any questions you may have throughout the course. Your tutor will also review, mark and provide you with feedback on your work. 

Assessment

Students will be required to complete a series of modules, all of which will investigate a different area regarding Support Work in Schools. Throughout each unit, learners will be required to complete a number of descriptive questions, in which have been created to test how well you have grasped the learning materials. 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive credits, which are awarded based on how long it takes students to complete a module. For example learners will earn one credit for completing approximately 10 hours of study.
