Freelance Journalism & Proofreading Diploma - ABC Awards/ NCFE

The aim of our Freelance Journalism and Proofreading course is to provide learners with all the necessary learning knowledge and understanding needed to produce professional articles. Students will learn how to market their work in an effective manner.  You will examine a range of skills that are required in the industry for example style of writing, techniques, marketing and also content choice. 

This is the ideal course for anyone who has a keen interest in journalism and proofreading and wishes to pursuit a career in one or both of these areas. It will also enable learners to gain an in depth understanding of these subjects as well as obtain certification which is based on the assignments that you will complete throughout the duration of the programme. 

Students are required to study eight chapters, all of which will contain in depth learning materials to develop your knowledge, followed by assignments.

No Previous Knowledge Required

There is no previous learning experience needed to enrol on to this course. However it is essential that you have access to a PC with Microsoft Word or Microsoft Works installed. Students are able to begin their studies for up to 12 months from registration.

12 Months Tutor Support

On enrolment you will receive a course manual and study guide. You will be assigned a personal tutor who will be on hand to answer any questions or queries you may have throughout the duration of the course (via mail or email). You will also be able to access our student help desk who are available to answer any other questions you may have (through email or telephone).
